Container shipping to Gambia Banjul
Most individuals and companies become nervous when faced with the task of shipping goods to the West African country of Banjul. This is because most people wouldn’t know where to start as they have never had to do this before. Fastlane have therefore tried to make it easy for our clients to decide on the best possible shipping method available to them. Fastlane currently offer Shared container shipping and Full container shipping methods to Banjul
Full container Load (FCL)
Full container shipping (also known as FCL) refers to the method of shipping whereby one hires a full 20 or 40 foot container to ship their goods. The goods will occupy the full container and there will be no one else’s goods in the container.
The Full container shipping method can be used when shipping commercial goods to Banjul, personal effects and general household contents. The container will be delivered to your doorstep in the UK for three hours. You will then be asked to load your goods into the container and once done, the container will be driven back to our port office for shipping to Banjul. Fastlane also have a service whereby you can deliver the goods to us for loading at any of our sites in London, Manchester, Birmingham or Southampton.
The main benefit of the Full container shipping method is that you have full access to the container and can load as much as you want into the container without worrying about space or cost.
Shared Container (LCL/ Groupage)
Shared container service to Banjul is different from Full container as the goods are loaded in a communal container that is also used by other individuals or companies to ship their goods. The 20 or 40 foot container will be positioned in one of our warehouses, and Fastlane will then invite clients to bring their goods to try and fill the container. Each client will only pay for the amount of space they use in the container. So if someone occupies half the container, they will incur half the cost of shipping the container.

The shared container service is ideal if you want to ship a small amount of goods to Banjul for example a car engine, couple of bikes and so on. It saves you the cost of hiring a full container but you get the full benefits of shipping your goods in a secure container.
There are lots of legal formalities to be met before one can ship goods to Banjul. At Fastlane, Fastlane have all the necessary knowledge required in order to ensure that Fastlane complete all documentation in the right manner to avoid any problems when collecting your goods to Banjul.
